One of our favourite outdoor stores, we’ve found the staff friendly and also respected we were there to browse at times. Sometimes staff seemed otherwise occupied but still took time to help. Being weekend warriors, we’ve found the store to have a good range of gear, and excellent IceBreaker range. The sales section is always worth a look too!

Bivouac Outdoor is the best outdoor shop I have ever been to. They have amazing service and outstanding products. I definitely recommend going to bivouac Outdoor.

Can't fault their customer service. I was acknowledged on my way in and when I wanted assistance, the lady I approached was busy with another customer but saw to it that another sales assistant looked after me. I was in the store less than ten minutes and had purchased exactly what I went in for.

Always a friendly welcome and good advice here, not to mention heaps of range including a large clearance section. One of the top outdoor stores in Canterbury.

Brought an OR Puffer Jacket about 3-4 years ago and love it so I wear it a lot. Only problem was the zip failed after 2-3 years. It has a lifetime warranty so I had Bivouac replace the zip a year ago. Unfortunately i had to wait about 6 weeks for the repair as they said nobody in New Zealand had a blue zip. The Jacket came back and although it worked the zip was stiff and hard to align at the bottom from day one. As I had had to wait 6 weeks already I was reluctant to take it back straight away to get the stiffness rectified. I put up with it being stiff for a year until it finally failed again. Now they are telling me they are having trouble getting a blue zip again but they are happy to put a black one in it. I will wait for a blue one. Then they are trying to tell me I have to pay 45 to have the jacket cleaned before they repair it. Also they are trying to say its wear and tear even when they replaced the zip a year ago. My experience is they are not listening and not really wanting to honour the lifetime warranty and implying that I should be happy with it as it is as I have had so much wear out of it. Pretty disappointed with the service I am receiving.

Bivouac outdoor have been very good to deal with. They are always helpful in store, and recently I had a warranty claim, which the staff were very helpful with, and resolved within a day of dropping off the item. Thanks team.
