I have use Goat Cycles over the past 2 or 3 years and have found them very helpful, efficient and effective - 5-star rating! However, today I had a problem with the mud-guard on my front wheel catching; I dropped in for some quick help - I was on the way to work (I live near to Diamond Harbour, drive over the hill with my bike on the back of my car) and could not go home to make the repair myself. The chap in the store told me that he could not book me in until Wednesday. I explained that I just needed a small adjustment made to the mudguard. He repeated that he could not book me in until Wednesday. I asked if he could sell me a spanner to make the adjustment, he said no. I asked if I could borrow a spanner, he said no. I left very unhappy. I very much like to be a regular customer so that I can develop a good rapport - clearly Goat Cycles do not see the world like that. As a result I will not go there again and have downgraded my 5-star rating.

My gears had become a bit sloppy on the ride up from Dunedin. I was just passing through Christchurch and all the big stores said they were too busy to help out. The boys at Goat Cycles we’re happy to see me and had things running smoothly again in no time. Much appreciated!
