A lovely hidden gem in Christchurch. Wonderful range of wines and cheeses. They also hold fantastic tasting evenings where David walks you through continents and wine varieties. Superb value for money. Can’t wait to go to the next one!

This is a lovely wine& cheese shop that transports you from the city into what could be a beautiful airy warehouse on a vineyard. With knowledgable owner/operators that really know their stuff, this is a shop you want to ditch the supermarket for.

Engaging tastings, thoughtful, broad selection, and a matching depth of knowledge; Dave, and Decant, is an important part of not just the landscape of wine in Christchurch, but forms a pinnacle of the South Island, and indeed, this store is leading the wine drinkers of NZ as a whole onward, unto the best of the Old World, as well as the new. Not to forget that Decant isn't merely a wine store, but an excellent cafe providing cabinet food with substance, and top coffee.... if that's your thing, or a glass of riesling if otherwise.
