I was absolutely stunned by the change of venue. It's modern age design and comfort. Even more so to discover that since I'd seen my GP first I didn't have to pay over 120 to be there. It seemed to be an extension of my GP. The X-ray only cost me 20 which was worth paying to avoid the A&E Along with a 7 to 16 hour wait. Polite happy unstressed staff who frequently joked while I waited less than an hour. Better yet a Dr who spoke with me not at me. Such an improvement. Better yet you can catch up on the blood test GP has been asking for for quite some time.. Seems you find one good GP and all of a sudden your surrounded by talent. Long may it last

Utter rudeness. Plain and simple there is no standard or communication in this place. They need to firstly get someone more friendly on the counter who knows the art of customer service and communication skills. To ask about wait time and be told to leave if we can't wait is just plain STUPID. Being charged consultation fees up-front is not a way to operate at a medical centre. Unprofessional service. Over priced fees.

Took in my Mum (who's from out of town) today feeling a little skeptical about how the service was going to be based on online reviews. Surprisingly, the receptionist who dealt with us (Lynn, I think her name was) did an awesome job in getting us sorted and situated in the waiting area. To be fair, my Mum (who has various health conditions and her own medical number to go with it lol) made the process go slightly smoother by providing all the necessary details and current medication to give to the Dr. but regardless, I think the service all in all was better than I was expecting. PROS: - They will treat patients from outside of Dunedin (good for family and friends who're visiting) - You don't need to book an appointment* - Good service CONS: - *The wait time ( to be fair, if you haven't booked an appointment and just go in - like my Mum and I did today - then the wait becomes absolutely killer as they'll most likely tend to the patients who've booked before seeing who they can. With that being said...) - Dr. on duty (it was explained today that the wait time - 3 hours - was so long because there was only one Dr. in the house so just be mindful if it's a slow day than maybe it's because they're understaffed?) Note: The prices are pretty high, but again, considering how urgent doctors is run, I think there's a lot of give and take that should go into going to this place seeing as they deal with urgent and/or sudden matters.

My doctor referred me here for the doctor to have a look at my wound. Walked in (only one there) the rude receptionist said PUT ON A MASK which i did even though she was not wearing one. The doctor and nurse that treated me were amazing, but the awful lady at reception had given me a very bad experience with your company. She should not be front of house if I was you i would hide her way in the back

1 star but I would give 0 if I could. DO NOT GO TO URGENT DOCTORS. I paid 90 and waited 3 hours to have my dressing changed (thumb injury). I understand that the queue does not follow order of arrival but I saw up to a dozen patients come and go as I waited. I felt like because I was low priority, the reception staff thought it was okay to be rude and have me wait that long for what would have been a 10-minute job for the doctor. I was being polite because these are stressful times and yet I wasn't the only one treated rudely. What a shameful disappointing healthcare system. I ended up getting a refund and leaving. I will not be made to feel like I'm begging for their service when I'm paying 90 for dressing change. I hate it and I will never be going back.

The staff was amazing, friendly and very helpful. No appointment needed. Got a nice welcome at the reception, short wait and a very good doctor. He gave me a good checkup, explained everything very well and answered my questions. I left with a good feeling! And yes, it’s 180 for international visitors but that’s what I have an insurance for. Highly recommended!
