I wanted to purchase a pair of Icebreaker Merino Gloves online. I was pleasantly surprised to see they were on special (25% off). There was also another offer which was buy 2 and get 20% off. So I thought great buy and I added 2 to the cart. The 20% didn't come off so I called the Customer service. The woman I spoke to was very nice and after quite some time on hold she advised me that someone had loaded one offer on top of another. She said that they would not apply both discounts. After more discussion I asked to speak to the manager and was told that she had just gone into a meeting (how convenient). She said that the manager would call me back. I said that I would take a screen shot as I expected the website to be updated as soon as I was off the phone. She said "oh no that would take some time" Well you can see by the attached photo's that is exactly what was done. I still have not heard from the manager. Feeling frustrated and lied to! I will not be purchasing any items from them in future!
Tried my best to spend some money here today, sadly no Torpedo7 staff wanted to offer any assistance. This was my 2nd time experiencing poor/no customer service BUT it will be my last. Next shop I visited gladly took my money

If you're looking for a bike, this is the place to go in Dunedin. I Brought a Mountain bike from them 2years ago & they were really helpful. I'm not mechanically minded so I take my bike there to get serviced. Really professional, knowledgeable staff who are passionate about the outdoors. They're a real pleasure to deal with & I am more than happy to call myself a loyal customer here.
Very disappointed with my visit to Torpedo7 this afternoon. I do a lot of field research and I was having trouble finding a pair of womens hiking pants with pockets. The staff member who I asked for help was dismissive and rude and told me that he "usually just hikes in anything" and showed me a pair of pants (without back pockets) before pointing across the store and saying there were more "over there". I tried on some pants but left the store empty handed feeling very dejected and disappointed with how I had been talked down to and dismissed by the staff.
Follow up re previous purchase. Excellent service.
