What a unique winery! A homegrown operation with an adorable rustic church setting. The wine was delicious and the man behind the magic was a pleasure to chat to, he even answered all one million of our questions. Highly recommend Akarangi to get an authentic winery experience.

The wines were amazing the wine maker is a real life wizard, like literally his ability to make you laugh and giggle will make your visit well worth it. You can see all the passion he puts into his wine and the genuine effort he puts in to make his customers feel welcome to his winery. Highly recommend.
Wonderful experience. Beautiful wines. Mostly red wines! Amazing church with intimate tasting experience. I would highly recommend visiting. The gentleman who served us was extremely kind and a great conversationist.

Hidden gem. Host an amazing conversationist. Humbled to learn about theie Maori brand meaning, the stained glass window bird designs, wood carving, and last but not least their unique boutique wine that captures your soul. Wine that is made with love, passion and dedication.
