A rather unique historical railway station that is located between Dannevirke and Takapau on the Palmerston North - Gisborne Rail Line. This station has been redone to its state that it was back in the 1950's, along with the Goods Shed and Workmen Huts dotted around the station. The station can be used as accommodation along with the Huts and is quite a unique experience that cannot be done anywhere in New Zealand. I have stayed there once before and its definitely awesome with the trains going past at any time of the day. Its also in quite a rural area which makes it rather pieceful if you just want to relax and unwind. Definitely recommend, especially for anyone that enjoys trains
