Clearing up misinformation as well as adding my own as a frequent user. 1. There is a public bathroom, it is contained on the bus station side. 2. The platform now has lifts. 3. Construction is completed. 4. Trains are currently slowed from here to papakura due to track conditions, are expected to speed back up by the end of next month (april 2021). 5. Information pertaining to electrification of this portion of the southern line is scarce but it appears they are starting it soon. 6. It is an old station building with no staff onsite, however so is remuera, parnell and takanini.

Set of concrete stairs and a lift to catch a diesel rickshaw to Papakura.
Some works to restore the station are on at the moment so I had to do the turn to join the station with my big suitcase. But such lovely people and staff there to help me with my suitcase and tickets.
Getting from A to B instead of using a car
At the time of writing, some restoration work is underway. But a very pleasant station building and platforms make this one of the more authentic feeling stations on the network.
