Peter and his team are amazing! They have gone above and beyond to help me with my many issues with our cars. At all times they have been super friendly and get the job done as quick as possible. Due to working out of town, they have always supplied me with a tidy and reliable courtesy car. Due to my working hours I can't always get there before closing, there has never been an issue with me having their courtesy car for longer than required. It is so great to finally find a mechanic who is reliable and trustworthy. I have no hesitation recommending Peter and his team to anyone who is looking to support local and after a fantastic mechanical team. These guys are awesome!

We were travelling from Waiheke Island to Taupo. Our car had recently had a successful WOF with repairs made to the rear wheel brakes. On our journey we noticed unusual sounds coming from the left rear wheel and managed to find a garage, Central Motors in Putaruru, to look at the problem. The mechanic and people in this garage were amazingly professional and efficient. Not only did they make the time to look at the problem immediately, but the mechanic managed to find parts that he modified to fix the problem which had been caused by faulty workmanship during the brake repair. We were very impressed by the standard of work at this garage and would highly recommend them.

I was driving from Mt Maunganui to Upper Hutt and I stopped in Putaruru, then I noticed water leaking out all over the road, from the radiator. I Googled for someone to call, so I called Central Motors. It was late in the day (4pm) but they didn't hesitate and immediately said, "Bring it around and we'll have a look at it." That was very reassuring for me, being broken down, far from home. I drove my car to Central Motors, pulled the bonnet string, and then the (very friendly/helpful) mechanic (Tamiana) and I, found the split radiator hose under the inlet manifold. It was nearly closing time, so Tamiana got my car fixed the following day. My car then made it all the way back to Upper Hutt fine, with no leaks from the radiator. All in all, I was in a bad predicament, and Central Motors came to my rescue as best as they could and probably delayed their work for some other customers, while they tried to get me back on the road, ASAP. A BIG THANK YOU therefore, from me to the team at Central Motors, and special thanks to the legendary mechanic, Tamiana!

Thought we would give a local owned business a go bad mistake. the old lady is Rude Only place in 15 years of owning cars that has charged me ontop of wof for a 2 min headlight adjustment 25 what the heck? Should have read the reviews more throughly.

Travelling between cities day before the Lockdown we had a major issue with our car. Peter and his team did a great job to collect the car and overnight get us back on the road again before the Lockdown, with no advance warning. Could have been a nightmare for us! Thanks heaps Peter, and we’ll recommend you to all our friends.
