The wine was good and the views too but poor experience compared to other wineries/vineyards in Wanaka. You have to pay 10 for the tasting, which is then deducted when you buy the bottle (basically they are making you pay either way). First time I've ever had to pay for wine tasting... What I love about tastings is get to know the history and craft behing it all which you don't get at all in Maude. You only get a piece of paper with a brief description of each wine. I would strongly advise the owners to shift their focus towards building a stronger tasting experience as it's what gets people to respect and buy their wine.
