I've been a member for four years now and have found this a very warm and welcoming place to learn. The Saturday and Monday hands on sessions provide a fun and easy way to learn Woodturning with the assistance of experienced club members. No cost is involved in attending the first 2-3 sessions meaning that you can give it a go before deciding if it's something you want to continue. Membership is around 70/year which includes use of all the machinery and tools!
