Closed until 2024 for redevelopment as part of the City Rail Link (will look amazing when done!) The replacement bus service (route 64) is free but you still need a HOP card to use it. Note half the photos are of the nearby mountain/summit (10min walk away), not of the station.

Nice and small train station to get a trains to Britomart, New Market or Swanson. Outside train station there is a bus stop for Airport transit bus service.
Not too bad a station, needs more shelter
Remember there are multiple exits and entrances to the train station and don't go down there alone late at night. Close to the Powerstation (music venue). Other than that needs more shelter, rain makes people sick and bugs spread on trains even with constant fresh air pushed through the vents.
This station is to close for 4.5 years very soon will not be available for the airport bus , the train will not stop in each direction the Outer Link will stop as well Quote councilor Richard Hills
You have to walk a fair distance from the street to see when the next train is coming. You have to do this because the official train timetable are only estimated times, not actual times. It would be nicer if the departure times are shown at the entrance to the station, not only on the middle of the platform. There is also only one AT Hop reader at each end, which can mean a bit of a delay if there is a queue of people to tag off.
Easy to miss the train station if coming by car as you need to take a foot path. But the station is good and has a pay machine.
gonna miss it x
