A great bike repair shop. I had multiple issues with my back wheel and brake and now it rides better than new! The staff where very knowledgable and got my bike up and running the same day at a fair price. They talked me through the process and couldnt be happier with the service. I would recommend to anyone with any bike issues. Thank you Basic Bikes

I booked my bike in for the 150 service. Very good job done and gear cables replaced and brakes tightened. Wheels pumped and is going like a dream. I'm a commuter so very happy with the result. I was only charged 145 so happy days. I will definitely be back.

I went in to get a quote for taping a set of wheels. I was lead to believe it would be 10 per wheel for a total of 20. This sounded like a good deal but when I went to pay for the completed service I was told it would be 40. The technician wasn't clear about additional labor costs. However, the service was fast and the staff were friendly enough (I don't think it makes up for paying double). If I had understood the full cost I would have just bought a roll of tape and done it myself.

Honestly, the best bike shop in all of Christchurch. I have been in a jam several times and they always seem to occur when I'm at the park with my mates, 1-2 laps in and something goes wrong with my bike. I've been able to pop into Basic Bikes and more than once they've helped me out on the spot within the hour. Friendly, helpful, great prices and of course ... epic bike knowledge. Cheers guys and thank you!
