Not a good experience. I had read some of the reviews and seen the lovely pictures of the garden. I was excited to try some of the unusual grapes grown at this seemingly adventurous winery. But had the choice of...1 choice. 4 wines on a set list costing 25. That's right 25. They weren't the ones I had wanted to try, but you can't tell what wines or the cost until you are at the counter and difficult to say no and leave at that point. The tasting samples were tiny. Very odd as this cost to volume far exceeds the already expensive bottles of wine at a rough average of65. No free tasting if you buy some wine either. If you have your goods at a premium price, the experience needs to be premium. I see those having enjoyed themselves had food, and perhaps experiencing the nice outdoor area.

Wonderful wines, varied and unique for the region. They seem to be pushing the envelope on what can be planted successfully here, and doing it incredibly well. Pure craftsmanship.

Outstanding and friendly service. We visited last year and the tour and restaurant was the highlight of our trip. We returned this year, knowing the restaurant was closed but platters and the service by french waiter/account was exceptional. Don’t miss this beautiful small organic vineyard.

Beautiful setting. Knowledgeable staff. One can tell Mr Herzog is passionate and trying to do some unusual and exciting things. A great garden in courtyard presenting mini vines and interesting information about each grape type.

Spent a full day wine tasting in this region and this was my least favorite experience. You get 4 tastes for 15, and compared to other places they gave Very small pours. As it got crowded a few staff members came to try to help, but the guy at the counter kept insisting he could handle it himself, but one person was not enough to serve everyone. It meant long waits between pours and very little individual attention. They don’t waive fee when you buy bottles, which was surprising. The wine was good but not amazing. There was a lovely restaurant though I didn't stay - the tasting experience left me wanting to leave.

One of the most beautiful vineyards I have ever been. The Bistro garten is absolutely perfekt to have your wine accompanied by a meal. High quality wine nice atmosphere. Highly recommend the Riesling, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir. Totally worth visiting when in Marlborough
