Hiked here from the Waiau river & LotR viewpoint car park. The hike itself was amazing along a not so well trodden path. Just follow the pink tape and you can't get lost. A perfect spot for lunch you are pretty much guaranteed to have the beach to yourself.

A nice broad sandy beach between Supply Bay and the Waiau River Mouth at Shallow Bay it can be reached by boat or by a locals trail from Supply Bay
