This is such a beautiful park. It has awesome walks and a spot beach lovers and park lover. An awesome park with plant of shade to relax under and a field for all your favorite summer sports. It has communal gas barbecues and good bathrooms facilities. It also has a campground for tents and camper vans. In the summer you can hire kayaks and stand up paddle boards with life jackets from a vendor on site who also helps you into the water. A beautiful place to visit or stay. Highly recommend

A great beach. Although the waves aren't always the highest there's some great rock shore areas accessable at low tide. There's a lot of native bird life to be seen in the early morning, including the endangered dotterel, but remember to be courteous and keep your distance. The Pohutukawa trees which line the beach are also large and beautiful.

Great walk, beautiful views and a clean & lovely beach. Not too crowded, ideal place for a hike and an outing with the family. 45 mins drive from Central Auckland.

Great park up north! The perimeter walk allows dogs which is great if you want to bring your little fluff ball along. The walks are generally easy and would be great for the family. The view from one of the walks is beautiful! Would recommend :)

Beautiful bay beach 30 minutes away from Auckland. Very shallow for a long way inside the waters hence quite safe for families with little kids. Nice picnic spot to go to during summer weekends.

The first regional park in NZ. We used four hours in total to walk around the track, farm and lake. Its an easy walk, have a go. Lying on the beach afterward, have a BBQ at one of the facility that provided are all the rewards. Parking, toilets are all there.

What a great place to be. Very peaceful. Seems to be an excessive amount or work done to maintain this park and provide free services like free barbecues for everyone to enjoy. Great scenery, walks and facilities
