Best and most trusted mechanics in town! My family has gone to Guthries auto care for almost 2 decades and have always received amazing and fair service. Jon has always gone the extra mile for us proactively identifying potential issues and rectifying them effectively before they became serious. So much so even though we live in Auckland we will often wait till we visit my parents in Wanganui to get a full service and groom for our vehicles.
A mechanic at this place gave me a lot of advice & told me I didn’t need my clutch done. I was so pleased with the friendly, helpful service I received

Guthries said they had repaired overheating issue in our Subaru Outback. Motor cooked within 45 mins of picking up car from workshop. Guthries didn't want to know. Washed their hands of any responsibility. Wouldn't even come and pick the car up. One star is way to many.
There may be a diverse range of Auto Care shops around Wanganui but Guthrie's will always have my business. Genuine staff and old school service with great results
